The Lee County Sports Complex was opened on March 12, 1991.
It serves as the spring training site for the Minnesota Twins and the home of the Fort Myers Miracle which play in the Florida State League.
Hammond Stadium is the main lighted stadium that seats 7,500 people, four regulation Major League Fields and two infield only fields. Besides the Twins and Miracle, the complex has been the site of college, high school, adult and youth
national championships events.
